The skills they learn at this festival are brought back to their JHS ensembles. They are challenged musically, and get to work with outstanding conductors from all over the country. Acceptance to Area-All State is based on a student’s New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) solo score from the previous spring.
The students are among the top musicians in school districts in the greater Capital Region.
Congratulations to the 20 Mohonasen High School students who will participate this weekend in the Area All-State Musical Festival at Saratoga Springs High School. .and participated the prestigious Harrison High School, which is ranked in the top annually in both the Area All-State and All-State NYSSMA Festivals.
