The person seeking advice lives in a smaller home or apartment, in which space is at a premium. The reason for wanting a project is always the same. Let me say that again, but with considerably more punctuation so you know I’m serious:

My answer to these colleagues of mine (and friends and family members, too) has been and always will be the same: “Do not buy a projector.” They’re suitable for use in Schools, Boardrooms, Lecture Rooms, Auditoriums, Education Facilities, Houses of Worship and any other venue. In the before times, one question would invariably arise in the office kitchen as my coworkers poured kombucha into a coffee mug while eyeing my undiluted cold brew: “What projector should I get?” Now, amidst the global pandemic, it comes via text, DM, and Slack message, with more urgency. Laser Projectors are our preferred projection technology and should be considered for any new projector deployment. This has clear benefits in facilities with multiple projectors, but also has benefits when placing IT equipment on backup power – placing a smaller load on UPS’s. Laser Projectors consume less energy than bulb based projectors of equivalent brightness. Laser Projectors switch on and off instantly and generally have no cooling off requirement. Though overall brightness varies depending on the projector model selected, laser projectors are able to provide consistent brightness across the screen surface. Images are richer, text is clearer and spreadsheets are easier to read. Laser projectors offer superior image sharpness and colour rendition. Ongoing lamp replacement costs are avoided. Since laser projectors never need lamp replacements, maintenance is far less costly, with only routine maintenance required. This means your projector can possibly last for up to 10 years (if used for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year).

Many laser projectors offer in excess of 20,000 hours of usage time. The laser light source has an incredibly long life cycle and this means your projector will likely be way overdue for an upgrade before the light source dies. Laser projectors do not ever need bulb replacements. This gives Laser Projectors a few benefits. Laser projectors use a Laser Light Source and not the traditional lamps found is most older projectors.

Laser Projectors provide a multitude of benefits and are our projection method of choice for systems in almost all applications.
